Wabi Sabi mug.

wabi sabi mug.jpg

I pinched it from a single ball of red clay.

The hills and valleys of Japanese countryside and tradition form the lips. They fit our lips. Perfectly.

Very little base. This pot is made for holding. Steaming. Warmth just coming through the body. Not for sitting there. Caressing. Sipping.

Glaze is from Red Oak ashes. Hard wood – Gutsy. Running. Earthy. Wood fired at 2400' Fahrenheit. You can lose yourself in it.

Wabi Sabi mug for sure.
