Etchings in the Sand…

Thoughts and Photos from the Desert…

Spam, anyone?

In the past week I’ve inherited unimaginable sums of money from Nigeria, won several lotteries in England, been asked to re-key my financial information into my bank’s records so the ATM system wouldn’t toss me adrift – you get the picture.

Actually I am no richer than I was. I just finesse these wonderful opportunities to cash in.

How come I treat every strange piece of email as if it were spam? Why do I constantly suspect that someone out there is trying to steal what money we have?

Am I becoming paranoid? Perhaps.

On the other hand, it just could be that this heavily spammed world of the internet is getting everyone a bit edgy. Distrust is contagious and habit forming. And in these cases justified.

What a joy when you find people you can trust.
