10,000 Years of Green…

It occurred as I trudged up this rocky terrain that everything around was green – very green. This in the midst of one of the driest desert landscapes in America. The river, of course, runs under it. Hassayampa. It must be huge. Best of all, the size of the trees and the size of the rocks indicate that this rocky passage to the summit has not changed a bit in 10,000 years. Maybe more. Nothing has changed. Nothing.
