surgery time out…

Monday and Tuesday, hopefully not Wednesday, I will be wrestling with some surgical issues – nothing life-threatening – just tedious – and as a result won’t be blogging. See you Wednesday or Thursday.

Peace!

shack in the desert…

shack.jpg

I came upon this old shack east of Wickenburg, Az. When I see something like this, I never fail to wonder who lived here, when and what happened. Oddly, it is still inhabited. I doubt the folks who are there would know the ancient stories.

real estate market not good…

I had to share this one with both you and my pixyblog of today. I captured it on a photoshoot on an abandoned property with my son, Joe. It reflects not only the state of the real estate market, but of the economy as a whole.

hawk…

A bit player in this photo is the hawk, sitting on the top branch of the tree. Her nest is also visible. Her family lived just a few blocks from our home until this week, when all four got upset over nearby construction and people crowding around the tree proclaiming them eagles. They are now feasting on bunnies somewhere west of here where things are more leisurely. And, oh yes, I love the tree.

The Chapel at Sedona…

It always makes me gasp a bit when I pass the Chapel built into the red rocks of Sedona, Arizona. Would love to get to know the architect who dreamed and built this holy place.
