Boston #6 – The Dark Side of Phillips Brooks…

Yesterday I shared a photo of Phillips Brooks’ statue in the center of North Andover, Mass. It took quite a bit of editing to get the color and detail that were shown there. Fact is, it was a dark, rainy early morning and my Birkenstock-clad feet were getting soaked in the wet grass of the park.

An odd thing happened as I shot the photo, a fleeting flash of sunlight broke through. Then it was gone.

In editing, I felt that the darkness of the day should be emphasized so I came up with this capture. You can see the flash of sun on his name and on his robe.
